PITCHKIT
========

1. Drag Pitchkit into your Applications folder.

2. RIGHT-CLICK Pitchkit and choose Open, then click Open again.
(First time only. macOS asks this for any app not sold through the
App Store.) After that, open it normally.

3. Pitchkit asks for your music folder. Pick it, and indexing starts.

FREE VERSION
------------
Pitchkit indexes your first 100 songs free, and everything works on them:
brief matching, artist references, lyric transcription, pitch folders.

To index your whole catalog, buy a licence at musicpitchkit.com ($49, once)
and enter your key under Setup > Licence.

IF NOTHING HAPPENS WHEN YOU OPEN IT
-----------------------------------
Pitchkit needs Python 3. macOS will offer to install it the first time --
open Terminal, type python3 press Return, and click Install. Then open
Pitchkit again.

A launch log is kept at:
  ~/Library/Application Support/Pitchkit/launch.log

WHAT IT DOES
------------
Match a brief Paste any sync brief, A&R note or vibe description.
Pitchkit ranks your catalog by fit.
Analyze catalog Reads BPM, key, energy and mood from the audio itself,
and optionally transcribes lyrics. Runs in the background.
Pitch folders Tick the songs you want, and Pitchkit copies those files
into a clean folder ready to send.

PRIVACY
-------
Everything runs on your Mac. Your audio is never uploaded. The only thing
that ever leaves your machine is an artist name, and only if you add your
own API key for artist-reference lookups.
